Everyone will realize that they are a people the Lord has blessed.
The question that I thought about when I read this scripture is how do people know I am a person who is blessed? Being blessed has nothing to do with what you are going through, has nothing to do with what you have or don't have, it has everything to do with who you are and everything to do with what God has done in your life, for your life and desires to do through your life. Before people will realize that I'm blessed I must realize I'm blessed. I know I've found myself at times complaining to God "God how come I don't have that or how come I have to deal with this" this kind of attitude is not of someone who know's they are blessed. "But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise." 2 Cor. 10:12
I think I have to reevaluate what being blessed is about more often. I'm blessed because God loves me and I have responded to that love and no other thing in the world can compare. I'm blessed because God has given me a purpose and I have found that out, some people never find their purpose in life at all. I'm blessed because I have an incredible wife, incredible children, incredible relationships with incredible people that God has all placed in my life. Just because I'm not wearing (it), driving (it) in fact my (it) may even be falling apart (hey but it still drives) it has nothing to do with being blessed. When you realize how much you have in Christ the little things don't matter anymore and people around you will realize your blessed. Practically speaking I found these questions today on Lifechurch's swerve blog. These questions really made me think so I wanted to share them, I believe that the questions fit perfectly with this journal entry. If your alive today...your blessed.
If God took away my words would my life keep speaking?
Would simply the way I live lead people to Christ?
